The Master Tree Farmer--Level II was held
in the ACAWT's multimedia classroom in February and March 2006.
The attendees enjoyed refreshments, comfortable
chairs, ad big-screen viewing while watching a private, live satellite
broadcast originating from Clemson University.
Mr. Tim Reed,
the Franklin County Coordinator of the Alabama Cooperative Extension
System approached the ACAWT's director, James Glasgow, regarding the
center's capabilities for live feed satellite broadcast.
This seven-segment program allowed local loggers and foresters
to obtain Professional Logger Management credits and/or Continuing
Forestry Education credits. This recertification allows the
attendees to keep advised of the latest tree farming techniques. |
