From
Monday May 2 to Friday May 6, director James B. Glasgow exhibited along
with other state agencies at the State of Alabama booth at the
LIGNA+
international forest products equipment show in Hannover, Germany.
LIGNA+ is the largest forest products equipment show in the world with
1,857 exhibitors and 100,000 attendees. The state's presence was
coordinated by the Alabama Forestry Team. While there, Glasgow,
representing the Center, in conjunction with the Alabama Development
Office, the Alabama Forestry Commission, the Alabama State Port Authority,
and the Alabama Power Company, introduced industrialists from all over the
world to the advantages of locating their industries in Alabama.
Glasgow says, "We exceeded our expectations."
