ACAWT held a second one-day seminar October 14, 2009 for those interested in obtaining a Professional Logging Manager’s certification and continuing forestry education units. With nearly 30 attendees in this second session all felt it was worthwhile. The all day seminar covered how-to’s on a variety of logging related topics. The new loggers were treated to all day refreshments and delicious subway sandwiches, chips, and desert. Director Jimmy Glasgow also did some one-on-one with new loggers in order to answer their specific questions. The seminar was held in partnership with the Auburn Extension Service and the Alabama Forestry Association.
