ACAWT in partnership with the Auburn Extension Service and the Alabama Forestry Association held a continuing education seminar for certification and recertification on October 07, 2009. Thirty participants attended the all day seminar. Refreshments were offered all day and included a hot lunch. The attendees were situated in the Advanced Smart Learning Center at ACAWT. There the attendees could observe video and written information on a large theater style screen. Cushioned, swivel, and tilt chairs were situated at the custom learning tables were two attendees could work together if required. Essential handouts were provided along with a three ring binder to each individual. This allowed the individuals to have a storage place for the notes and booklet materials given to each attendee. The topics covered included: Forest Management and Logging Safety.
